The challenge
Aura is one of Portland, Maine’s most prominent entertainment venues — hosting concerts, club nights, comedy shows, and private events across a busy year-round calendar. With a diverse programming mix and a loyal audience, the venue needed a WordPress-based website that combined strong event discovery, ticketing integration, and a visual identity that matched the energy of what happens inside.
The existing digital presence undersold the venue and made event discovery harder than it needed to be for fans planning their nights out.
Our approach
Autumn Lane AI provided UI/UX design and WordPress development for the Aura site. The redesigned experience puts event discovery at the centre — a clear, visually rich calendar paired with seamless ticketing integration makes it easy for fans to find upcoming shows and buy tickets without friction.
The design system was built around Aura’s bold visual identity, creating a site that feels native to the venue’s energy while remaining clean and navigable for first-time visitors.
The Result
Aura has a website that works as hard as its programming calendar. Event discovery is fast, ticketing is integrated, and
