The challenge
Snakebite kills or permanently disables hundreds of thousands of people each year — 75% of deaths occur before the victim reaches a hospital. Ophirex is a Public Benefit Corporation developing varespladib, the first oral snakebite treatment, which can be administered at the moment of bite, anywhere in the world. The company has received FDA Orphan Drug, Pediatric Rare Disease, and Fast Track designations for its lead candidate.
With a brand refresh and website relaunch underway, Ophirex needed a professional, credible digital platform that communicated the science, mission, and commercial progress of the company to a complex audience: clinicians, researchers, investors, regulators, and the global health community.

Our approach
Autumn Lane AI led UI/UX design and WordPress development for the Ophirex site relaunch. The information architecture was designed to serve multiple distinct audiences — layering scientific detail for expert readers while keeping the impact story clear and accessible to non-specialist stakeholders.
Clean, clinical design reflects the company’s positioning as a serious, credible biotech — while the mission-driven tone reinforces the public benefit nature of the work. The site is structured to support ongoing publishing of clinical updates, press releases, and scientific content.

The Result
Ophirex launched a refreshed brand and website that reflects the company’s progress toward FDA approval and its commitment to changing snakebite treatment globally.
The platform supports investor communications, clinical partner engagement, and growing public awareness of a cause that urgently needs both.
